So if Whitney somehow shoots to #1 on the hot 100 will she have the 2nd biggest song in history because Mariah has 16 weeks, and that would push IWALY to 15 weeks right?

It would and that would be amazing!
It's impossible now cuz she's freefalling.
P.s.: It's funny how no one mentions B2M when they mention Mariah's 16-week record.
Which is sad because Boyz II Men had an impressive run on the Hot 100 during their reign.
They were insane, first "End Of The Road" 13 weeks at #1 and break Elvis' record, then "I'll Make Love To You" 14 weeks and tie Whitney's record and then with Mariah they get the all-time record.

And didn't they replace themselves at #1 before? I think it was "On Bended Knee" that replaced "I'll Make Love to You." They were massive in the '90s and was ahead of the other male R&B groups who had Hot 100 success during that period.

Yeah they replaced themselves, they'd have spent 20 consecutive weeks at #1 if it wasn't for "Here Comes The Hotstepper".
Billboard says WalMart doesnt count, then they dont let Britney have a #1. They say 0.99c albums count, and allow BTW to sell over a million, then change the rule. They dont allow Michael to chart with HUGE digital sales, then change the rule for Whitney.
They're planning to re-release the Titanic film, and "My Heart Will Go On" won't chart because after a certain amount of time, it cannot chart on the Hot 100. If they're going to bend the rules for Whitney, they better bend the rules for Ceine.
they MUST let any song chart now.
If they don't, goodbye credibility to Billboard tbh
