Don't expect Madonna to suddenly break formula. "Music" (released August 2000) didn't see a performance until November for a promo tour (2 random dates) and more fully the Grammys the next year, she did nothing to save "American Life", didn't promote "Hung Up" until Grammys 2006 and didn't perform "4 Minutes" until after Hard Candy release.

She tried with the VMA Hollywood performance, but sadly it didn't work one of her best singles ever. Should've been the lead single.
I really don't think he was saying that to excuse it's performance, but the idea that they'll just push out a second single so soon.
Well, with the way things are going I am fully expecting Interscope to rush release GGW much sooner than expected. I may not be familiar with Madonna's past era handeling but I am familiar enough with interscope to know they will not allow GMAYL to just free fall without a plan B.

Madonna has to release this before the album. Maybe as a album countdown thing halfway March but she has to do it. I actually fear she won't, because she has never released the 2nd single before the album dropped (let alone rushed any of them because of commercial failure, as far as I'm concerned), but we should have hope. And for Britney... she might help giving ''Girls Gone Wild'' some commercial success but I won't judge until I hear the song properly.
