It was at the same time honney and Avril get a much bigger impact and was a breaktrough Pink already had an album before that has anything to do with that.

I'm not even trying to shade Avril, I used to be a huge Avril stan back in 8th grade, but I can't say that she really pioneered anything.

Hip Hop and R&B is another thing and maybe was a big trend in your country 'cause it wasn't everywhere but yeah I agree it was big after that but I was talking about POP music.

Sorry I just went to eat something.
Who came after well..
In POP basically after the ani- britney thing, Britney retire during that perdiod (but still succeed with ITZ) and we have Avril and Pink leading, the mainstream song of the year in the US was from Vanessa, Michelle Branch was also there in the US.
The suddenly Kelly Osbourne appear doing 'rock' in her fist album, the first winner of American Idol Kelly Clarkson went also for that direction, then others came out later like Ashlee Simpson...
Lindsay and Hilary also had pop rock in their music and tons of irrelevant flop girls around the world. Groups: Simple Plan, Good Charlotte etc etc.. Green Day turn big again during those times and I'm just nameing you the biggest ones.
