Since when is Born This Way a comeback single? Lady GaGa had a SHITLOAD of momentum in 2009 and 2010 that continued into 2011 when Born This Way was released considering it debuted at #1, stayed there for 6 weeks, and became the 1000th #1 song. So HA!
Give me All Your Luvin' is definitely disappointing though. The thing about Madonna is that she as well as Christina Aguilera are so arrogant and stubborn that they think they can do better than the person they are "rivaled" with (Britney/Christina, Madonna/GaGa) by creating a song that sounds dated. "Not Myself Tonight" sounded like a combination of Forever, SexyBack, Gimme More, and what not and the video was too much like Bad Romance. Give Me All Your Luvin' at the same time is too much like Gwen Stefani, song AND video, and it also reminds me a little of Peacock.
If Madonna wants to make a good comeback, she needs to stop copying ideas that were already done. We saw Christina Aguilera do that and look what happened to her.
So, my answer is Madonna. However, I don't think Madonna will be a flop like Christina. She has the advantage of being a performer for the super bowl, so she a huge chance of getting a Top 10 smash with this song. NMT had nothing going for it, because American Idol is Hot N Cold in influence.
Born This Way is 'cause I'm a Lady GaGa fan and I expected a lot from such a hyped up single. Madonna's new song is horrible and cringe-worthy, but it isn't disappointing at all since I never expected anything from her.
Born This Way because it was the follow-up to her massive debut. Expectations were sky high in all aspects.
Give Me All Your Luvin' is just another Madonna track 30 years into her career. Moreover, Hard Candy was garbage & she hasn't really produced quality music in 6 years so this isn't too shocking.
BTW was a bigger disappointment. I'm sure everyone will love GMAYL when it happens to become a success. People determine what music they like based on how good it does on the charts when it comes to music forums like this. Example of that is WFL. Everyone was emphasising how much better they thought OG was in the beginning. Look now?
