I don't think we've given her enough credit on how much she has improved as a performer. I remember watching her Grammy performance for the first time and being amazed by how improved her dancing and vocals were.
Regardless of sales, "media backlash," or "damaged image," I can safely say this was my favorite era yet. Everything from the aesthetics to the music was spot on, imo.

was releasing TEOG and Hair as promo singles..
Everything went downfall from there..
On the rest as far as I'm concerned was magnificent.
