Right, this whole "Save the gays" thing needs to stop. At one point, many in the gay community wanted a speaker. Someone who could help them get their rights. I guess some people just look at differently, like you pointed out.
But I'm sure Gaga comes across people who are in need of help all the time. What is she going to do? Just sit back and watch these kids struggle? She uses her popularity and power to raise awareness on important issues. She isn't a normal pop star that keeps her mouth shut and makes music. She's in a position to make a difference and she doesn't want to pass up the opportunity.
