All you can do as an individual is call your senators. You don't need to be overly vocal, you don't need to make 800 twitter statuses a day, you don't to try to press your opinion on others. That is only bringing yourself down to the levels of those who you are trying to "fight against." Posting all over Facebook about a gay kid who committed suicide isn't going to do anything. There are so many things that gay people do that, while they have good intentions, it only ends up hurting themselves.
