Everytime you think the Teenage Dream era is over, it rears its head and springs back to life. I enjoyed this album when it first came out, but everything about it is over exposed and Katy/Capitols desperation for that record is tangible

People forget this was nominated for AOTY at the Grammy's... like, this is a solid album, some people may not like it, but that doesn't mean it isn't good...

i don't get why people are saying she's desparate for #1's, when infact she has just as great of a chance at getting a #1 compared to anyone else. Im guessing they are just saying that because they are jealous that the general public loves Katy sooo much. Katy's not doing the possible re-release just to break a record, she had 3 or more possible scrap singles off TD, which are DU, POM, and MML. She knows DU and POM would be huge hits to the public and her fans most importantly love those 2 songs. So is she desparate NO, is she trying to make her fans happy and appeal to the general public to gain more fans YES! btw, i also think haters are pressed because they know POM and DU are awsome and are definite top 3 hits! (actualy #1 hits!)

if you are refering to Whitneys record then yes they do, her record is for 7 consecutive #1 hits in a row, i think she did it with 3 albums cause she released like 2 singles from one album and 3 from another and all hit #1. Unless you are referring to another record whitneys holds

She said to a fan in a M&G that she'd rather do a new album than a rerelease. Don't remember an interview on the topic though..

No, she did it with 2 albums

Her first album
the first single went top 3
the remaining 3 went #1 saving all my love for you, how will i know and greatest love of all
then her second album 4 went to #1 i wanna dance, so emotional, and two other songs no1curr about.


But Katy still can get MJ and JJ's records...crosses fingers. I'd rather her just release HH and peacock because i think both could go top 5 but oh well.
