Today, my bitch, Anthony (you might know him as the inevitable Anthagio that used to grace the threads and made your teas stale and expired.
He ain't cutting it this time around, he is back to test your testicles and scalp your full of dandruff heads.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE TRUE TEA:
Quote:
at the beginning of the “born this way” era, gaga described the album as “experimental” and “hardcore”, yet she has released some of the least experimental and hardcore songs from the album. I think what kept the album’s singles from smashing tfm style is the fact that gaga tried to give people what she thought they would want. The thing is, in gagaland, what people want is completely different from what people want in rihanna, katy, britney, and ke$haland, and gaga tried to conform to what people want in rihanna, katy, britney, and ke$haland. If you take a look back at “the fame monster”, ‘bad romance’ was not radio friendly, nor was ‘alejandro’, and even ‘telephone’ had an edge to it, yet they all did incredibly well. I think what people truly want from gaga is the music she claims to make: Edgy, different, robust-type pop songs that aren’t necessarily pop but still fit in that category. Coming from a darker, more edgy album like “the fame monster”, people expected songs like ‘scheisse’, ‘government hooker’, and ‘heavy metal lover’. We know this because, sans ‘the edge of glory’ (smashed for a completely different reason), none of the singles from “born this way” have been praised as much as ‘scheisse’, ‘government hooker’, and ‘heavy metal lover’ by the critics, fans, and public alike.
The general public doesn’t want the “old gaga” back, they want the actual gaga back. The gaga that wasn’t afraid to put out a good song, or the gaga that wasn’t afraid to do what gaga does best. The gaga that is different because it’s who she is, not the gaga that puts out a rehash of an old single because she thinks it’ll do well.
