^LMAO. Serena takes the greatest pleasure in KILLING Sharapova every time.
Young American women's tennis looks a little brighter this week with Riske, Lepchenko and Hampton qualifying for the Australian Open (good to see Riske and Hampton qualifying anyways after losing the playoffs to Madison Keys). Over on the ITF circuit, the semi-finals in Florida this week are all occupied by Americans with Grace Min (last year's US Open Junior Champion), Lauren Davis, Lauren Embree (from the University of Florida) and Gail Brodsky (finalist at the Australian Open Playoffs) all winning through. = )

And the two youngest players in the Top 100 currently are Americans (McHale and Stephens)! They're the only two born after 1991. I don't know if that's a promising stat though because women's tennis is getting older.
I see some Serena shade in here, don't even try. When she's healthy and in real form she can easily own every other basic bitch out there despite being 10 or more years older than most of them. She's a legend.Bow down to her.All other girls out there now are basic non-factors.When there were the biggest competition some years ago she was the one who effortlessly dragged them all.
1. One of the greatest women's tennis players of all time.
2. She has won more career prize money than any other female athlete in history.
3. 13 Grand Slam during most competitive era.
Aside from being great player she has interesting personality, she stands out,has charisma, can entertain you with game and other factors.
Just look at current #1,a joke, basic boring bitch who can't even win a Grand Slam.Womens tennis today has became a joke. When Serena retires I won't watch it anymore.

Exactly, there's no competition when she's taking it seriously.
Aww I love them both but Serena is my queen. So nice to see them together.
Me too!!
It was a rough rocky start for these two.
But I'm so glad they both matured into cordial nice professional ladies and
they both now really respect each other.

Laura Robson will be in the top 100 soon. She has the most potential of all the teenagers. I miss the teen queens on tour. The game has aged so much in recent years.

It feels like Laura Robson has been around forever (but she's only 17??). There was so much hype around her. I remember rooting for her against Sharapova when they were playing at Wimbledon a couple years ago.

Maria will most likely be the last teen slam winner I feel the teenage superstars are what made women's tennis unique compared to other sports. But hopefully now players will have more longevity in their careers since they're not winning everything at 16.
Serena and Petra are the favourites for the title.
Haven't you read the articles? Everyone hits the ball harder than Serena now, everyone's faster than her now, she's no longer relevant and Sharapova (the very epitome of form and fitness) should demolish her in the quarters.

All the new blood in women's tennis are just good ball strikers. Kvitova is a good example: she can out-hit anyone off the court but she can't move as well as Serena. Same with Sharapova, she keeps losing to Serena 'cus her athleticism is subpar. Serena is just a better athlete and striker all-around

Let him know. They will never come not even close to the Serena's greatness and impact.
Serena beat World No. 1 Wozniacki while being injured and could do the same with most of those new basic girls.Bunch of non-factors.
With Mona Barthel's surprising win in Hobart this week, Germany now has five Top 50 players! It only took them 12 years to come back to prominence after Graf's retirement

They played at Wimdledon last year. Laura has a lot of potential but her game has a lot of holes. She's very inconsistent and she's not a good mover. Her game is similar to Kvitova's in some ways, so commentators always say she should take notes from her. She's against Jankovic in R1 of the AO, it will be an interesting match. She needs to start delivering.
