I don't see it...anymore. For me, it saps the symbolism right out of the pieces the harder she tries. On top of that her image isn't consistent. Now she's blonde TF Gaga again? Oh well.

I feel like the problem with her fashion and this era in general is that it doesn't have a singular vision. There's no thread that connects and ties everything together.
One day she's blonde, then she's half-brunette, then fully brunette, then teal, then grey, then chola, then classy, then gross with moles and spikes, then eyebrow-less, then the eyebrows are back, short hair, long hair, pretty, ugly, glam, grotesque, back to classy, trashy, the whole ****ing kitchen sink.
Same with her music. One day she's inspiring, the next she's blaspheming, a week later she's doing a country ballad, then out of nowhere comes a jazz song.
What image and sound are you selling?

So it's not possible for her to like all those different hair styles/genres?
Exactly what theme did she consistently portray during The Fame?
These are questions I need answered.

Love this way more than her Fame-era.
Born This Way era ->>> The Fame era
both musically as fashionally.

I agree. Her fashion is very surrealism. The first time i saw her on those big shoes i was like WTF ? Why is she wearing the shoes. I have the exact same reaction with the horns.
I have read an interview of Nicola saying that what they really wanted to do with Gaga fashion is to give a fantasy. A fashion image that people dont use evryday because they feel today fashion is more about money, business, glamour than everything else. They want to bring that fantasy back.
I think all her looks are kind of iconic in a way that they can be really extrême for the worst or the better.

No, i think she just used the hair as an example.
Gaga has no central theme this era that ties everything together. Take TFM era as an example. All of her songs were about a different type of 'monster' she encountered while on tour. The cover was very dark, the music and performances were centered around something more twisted and the fashion was monsteresque. Everything she did accentuated and reinforced the central theme of her album.
Born This Way did the exact opposite. The title on the album cover is splattered over a picture of Gaga's head on a motorcycle, clearly she wasn't born that way she jumps from inspirational anthems to songs about immigration, her grandfather, and surviving the streets of NYC. The fashion changes from morning to afternoon and has nothing to do with anything.
No fit

Before = Shocking
Now = Stupid and obvious attention seeking. It seems like the general public aren't buying her **** anymore.
