Well, at least good for her for having the main categories in the bag and the sales number as well.
Basically, I agree with everything Bea. has said here.

I'll be honest I liked Adele's album but I haven't listened to it in months but I've been listening to the Foo Fighters, Alison Kraus, Taylor,The Civil Wars, and Lady Antebellum's latest cds all of which I feel are superior lyrically the big thing that Adele has to her advantage is her team of producers when you combine the best producers around with someone with talent it makes it so much easier to sell well.

Now hoping that she will win a spot in the "Greatest Artists of All Time" list in the future. Time, be nice.

This!!! The who and the Rolling Stones along with so many other acts only have 1 award from the Grammys and that's the lifetime achievement award smh

Others who have received criticism include Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and well I could list a ton more but you get my point. Wait 10 years and see how many people who insulted her are still talking I bet there won't be many

See the bigger picture. Yep.
On other note, I see some of Taylor's influence in Hunter Hayes (a newcomer country musician, singer-songwriter type, also opened for her tour, basically he followed Taylor's footstep).
Imagine how many future starts that will mention her as the greatest influence in them.

I've listened to all albums you mentioned here except Lady A.'s. Adele is good, but not great. Still have to improve a lot. Hope she learned one thing or two from Rick Rubin in music producing, so she can have a few variation in her future music.

^ I love Hunter; he's one of my favorite male artists to hit mainstream post-2000 (I don't typically listen to male artists )
On the Grammy/ legend topic... Alison Krauss is the most awarded female of all time at the Grammys; while I don't think she's known as "one of the greats" in a Madonna/ Elvis/ Beatles type of way, she certainly holds her place amongst the legendary women of country music. She has a healthy following despite the fact that she's not very mainstream anymore... I wonder if that's somewhat like how it will be for Taylor in the future; not necessarily usurping Krauss's title of woman with the most Grammys, but still being recognized by award shows and whatnot.

I don't usually listen to mainstream, esp. mainstream country (featured Jason Aldean as the latest shiny-new-toy from Music Row Machine - ). But I bought his album. It's good as a debut.
Yes, Alison Krauss is one of the greatest musician, but not as a game-changer artist. She's more like Beyonce, she just follows the system (but it doesn't make her less greater tho). But when you compare her to the likes of Bob Dylan and The Beatles, she looks like nothing. Bob & Beatles were icons of music. They revolutionized rock & folk. Bob broke all the rules in folk by writing & composing his songs by himself, and he doesn't have a pretty voice too. Same with what Beatles has done to Rock & Roll.
Tbh, I don't really understand Elvis' appeal. Buddy Holly (the pioneer of Rock & Roll) & Chuck Beery were far more better than him in my book.

No. Lately I've observed that there's sort of a pattern. For example, Taylor's Fearless era and Gaga's Fame Monster eras were huge; their following albums opened with huge numbers and have sold better than average, but they haven't gotten the radio support they previously had.
I think the same will be true for Adele's next album; she'll open big and have SN/ BTW type album sales and maybe have a moderate hit or two, but ultimately Adele's next era won't be equal to 21's era.

Let's hope Taylor's album #4 will be a lot successful then other artists with their 4th album.

Tbh Elvis is extremely overrated. People put him in the top 5 artists of all-time but do to his lack of songwriting he is no where close. Now Sam Phillips who was Elvis's producer would often give Elvis songs that other artists wrote because of his popularity. Elvis had songs written by Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, and the list goes on and on. So it is no surprise he had so much success besides being so popular with his hip- swaying movement lol. With all that said he is one of the best vocalists and got his music played on pretty much any station so he definitely deserves to be respected just not up there with the Beatles or Dylan

Faith Hill's fourth album (Breathe) was her biggest. Shania Twain's fourth album (Up!) went diamond... I'm not too worried about a Beyoncé-type underperformer. The only way that would happen would be if Taylor did what Beyoncé did; take a year off and come back with a completely different sound.

If it is a country (pop) trend then it'll be really amazing.
Then I'm hoping Taylor won't change her sound completely.

"Wasting Light" is one of the best rock album I've ever heard in years. It gives you life. You can feel the real rock spirit while listening to it. Dave Grohl ]

He was on the top 5 mostly because of his star power.
He's more fit into the "Greatest Singers of All Time" category, not ARTISTS, best place for him along with Billie Holiday & Ella Fitzgerald.

When Elvis first started, he was criticized by several leading music critics for his voice if I remember right. I'd have to find the sources but he wasn't considered a great vocalist at first.

People's Choice Awards are tonight; Taylor is up for Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Tour Headliner.
No word on if she's attending, but I don't really expect her to.
