A: You can post this in the artist's Base thread.
Q: I don't get it, Music News, Base, Charts, it's all the same right?
A: These forums now all have a distinct purpose. Music News is to inform and discuss. Base is to socialize and to stan. Charts is to analyze.
Q: So much news is coming in about my fave's new album, but the release date is still months away. Can we open the thread early?
A: No. Keep it in the Base thread. For bigger news that has its own article on the web, create a headline thread.

These three Q&A's have me confused. Take for example I just opened a thread about Santigold giving her new album a name. I found it on Pitchfork, so it's definitely a music news headline. Yet now my thread title has been changed to make it look like it's an album anticipation thread, which was not my intent. Also, if Music News' purpose is to "inform and discuss" then wouldn't information about who someone is working with in the studio be considered newsworthy?
Just a few thoughts! Overall, I really like these changes. Once all these secondary questions get answered I think no one will have a problem with the new format
