No; she's one of the only 2 artists I respect enough to avoid album leaks; the other being Shania Twain.

In Speak Now's case, I listened to the promo singles because they were officially released, as well as 30 second previews of the entire album. I also allowed myself to listen to Sparks Fly one time when it leaked because we already had the original version.

So you haven't heard the like 150 leaked songs that aren't on her albums?

I am a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, I couldn't stand the thought of other fans knowing and appreciating loads of her music that I had never heard and never would hear.

We're at the same boat, but on different decks. I want this upcoming album to have a Bon Iver/The Civil Wars/Alison Krauss/Emmylou Harris feel. With those artists, I feel like I'm listening to an old friend's stories, the one that haven't met in a long time whenever I listen to their music. It's like their music has soul in it. With Adele, I only can admire her voice and her story, but I really cannot feel it as deep as I listen to Taylor or other artists that I mentioned before. I can almost get that positive feeling from every song of her, even her darker songs like "Dear John".

I have gone over this so many times. Susan Boyle factor but Adele has way more talent.

Listening to Adele makes people feel sophisticated and the fact that she isn't a stunning size 2 model makes people feel good about themselves. Her album has a few outstanding songs but on the whole it isn't that fantastic.
