RELEASE DATE: 20 May 2011 BEST PART: The post-chorus
Yay! Jason Derulo's back with a new album. I've always been a fan of him since "Whatcha Say" days. I've discovered this song a bit late but that did not hinder me to fully love and appreciate this song. A lot of people might contest the originality of the song but it doesn't matter. A great disco anthem!

BEYONCE
"COUNTDOWN"
RELEASE DATE: 4 October 2011 BEST PART: The countdown part
Beyoncé appears on the list for the third time on the list with "Countdown". Thanks to my highschool friend who introduced me this song. I instantly got hooked with it on first spin. It sounds very upbeat, melodious and catchy. Beyoncé once again showcased her killer vocals in this great pop anthem. 'Grats to her baby!

CHARICE
"LOUDER"
RELEASE DATE: 20 May 2011 BEST PART: The chorus
After landing within the Top Ten of my Best of 2010 with "Pyramid", Charice returns on the list with an upbeat track off her second international album. I first heard this song on a variety show and I can't believe that it was from Charice. I don't know but I didn't expect her to sing songs like this. Nevertheless, the song fits her voice perfectly and I'm looking forward to hear more of the poppish Charice this 2012.

ADELE
"SET FIRE TO THE RAIN"
RELEASE DATE: 4 July 2011 BEST PART: The refrain
The biggest artist of 2011 returns on the list with a power ballad of her sophomore album 21. I'm proud to have known and loved Adele during her 19 era, not just when "Rolling In The Deep" was released. At first, I failed to appreciate this song cause I find it a bit inferior than her previous hits. But after a few more spins, I finally appreciated the beauty of this masterpiece. Two more Adele hits on the go!

RIHANNA
"CALIFORNIA KING BED"
RELEASE DATE: 13 May 2011 BEST PART: The bridge until the song ends
The lady with the most entries in the Top 100 once appears with an R&B ballad off Loud. "California King Bed" definitely stands up among the other singles off Loud due to its sincerity, mellowness and emotions. This song has been one of my jams last summer and Riri's vocals on this song never fails to amuse me. Yes, more Riri songs as we progress.
RELEASE DATE: 15 April 2011 BEST PART: The bridge! ("Jesus is my virtue and Judas is the demon I cling to!")
Lady Gaga makes her final appearance on my yearend list with a blasphemic hit off her sophomore album. I first heard this song on the radio and I initally disliked it. Yes, it was upbeat but it failed to leave a remark on me. Months after its release, I gave the song another chance and I finally appreciated it. Juda-juda-ahh-ahh!

JESSIE J
"DOMINO"
RELEASE DATE: 29 August 2011 BEST PART: "Every second is a highlight. When we touch, don't ever let me go!"
74 slots have passed until Jessie J makes her second appearance on the list with "Domino". The song is very infectious, appealing and irresistible. Despite being only released during the latter part of the year, the song still managed to satisfy my pop music taste and to earn a spot within the top thirty. Great chances of re-entering the list next year!

BRITNEY SPEARS
"TILL THE WORLD ENDS"
RELEASE DATE: 20 May 2011 BEST PART: "See the sunlight. We ain't stoppin'. Keep on dancing till the world ends."
Pop Princess Britney Spears also makes her final appearance on the list with "Till The World Ends". Among all the four singles from Femme Fatale, this is the only one that I ultimately loved. It sounds great, upbeat and infectious. The hook is also addictive. Something comparable to her previous hits. More of this type of hits from Britney, please.

DAVID GUETTA f/ FLO RIDA & NICKI MINAJ
"WHERE THEM GIRLS AT"
RELEASE DATE: 2 May 2011 BEST PART: Nicki Minaj's parts
This might pull off a shock on you. Yes, this collaboration between DJ David Guetta and rappers Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj is just two spots away from the Top 20. Like "Judas", this song just grew on me months after its release. The song is very catchy, infecious, repetitive and danceable. And Nicki's parts were outstanding.

KATY PERRY f/ KANYE WEST
"E.T."
RELEASE DATE: 16 February 2011 BEST PART: The chorus
Missing the Top 20 is Katy Perry (well, she won't miss the Top 20 at all. Trust me. ). This song may not be as appealing as "California Girls" or as infectious as "Firework", but this song also stood out due to its futuristic video and impressive vocals. I may not be a huge fan of rap but honestly, I enjoyed Kanye's addition to the song. Katycats, more of Katy in the Top 20.
