At about 300 words a page, that's 60 pages. I've written much longer in my college days, but wouldn't do it again.

Technical and research methods? That was the focus of my English degree. It's actually not that difficult once you get going. Not to mention how long the thesis work was.

Volume is not always a good thing. A good writer is able to put forward the same point as a bad writer in a far more succinct manner thus making the point far clearer.

Conciseness is a really hard, and highly respected, attribute of an excellent writer.

I'm talking in general but as I said it is not always the case. If you have enough information/points and you are concise as possible, then more is of course a positive.
