Yes Rihanna was doing electro-pop before Rihanna. But why was LOUD filled with electro-pop tunes? Rated R was something different and risky and Rihanna's label agreed so she had to switch her style to electro-pop because the other one was not doing like the label wanted, so she followed the trend.

Loud only had two dance songs on it, and four of its six singles weren't electro-pop songs.
