My BF works for "Rainbow Youth" So I'd like to think I've experienced different perspectives.

I'm not sure the point you're trying to make here. Is it that there should be a good public discourse on the top of gay marriage? If so, then I agree entirely.

Of course; "right" and "wrong" are relative terms. But, legally speaking, gay marriage proponents have the upper hand. I also believe they have the upper hand morally, as they are not the ones trying to abridge the rights of others.

It's a good thing to experience different perspectives, especially in hot topics like same sex marriage. However, it's also important to pick the logical side, the side that you believe to be right.

You misunderstand me. I DO find out why they believe that. But I have never, not once, heard a SINGLE argument against gay marriage that was based in logic or reason. All I've heard is "I don't like gay people" which is bigotry, or "The bible says so," which is inapplicable in or non-theocratic society.

You assume because I disagree with them I must not "understand" their viewpoint. No, I understand EXACTLY why they feel the way they do, but it is not founded in logic or reason, and therefore not worth considering in a legal matter.

Again, you're confusing disagreeing with a position with not understanding it. You need to learn that some viewpoints really AREN'T based in any sort of logic. If someone came up to me with a logical reason that gay marriage shouldn't be allowed, I'd respect it. I have yet to hear a single one. Most of them are refuted by this chart.

However, you seem to think there are arguments I don't understand and are worth considering. I'd love to hear them.
