What stood out to me the most and so happens to be my favourite is Talk That Talk with Jay-Z. This song just screamed multiformat smash a la Rude boy and What's my name? Its more of a duet than a feature but it shows how much musical chemistry Jay and Rih have and the song helped me understand why she titled it talk that talk and all the songs really embodied that title.
Duets > features. With TTT you can actually remember that Jay-Z is part of the song, instead of the 15 second intro he does on "Umbrella" that I always forget is there until I listen to the song. I would love if all collaborations Rihanna did were "duets" instead of features, but I must say that I like how every song Rih features in, she's part of the actual song and not just a cameo (whether it be a duet, or Rihanna being the hook/chorus girl).
Can I say Birthday Cake was the track that stood out to me the most...
Jk. That's too cliche. Everyone was riding that songs cakes. Imma have to step out of the uptempo circle and say that Farwell stood out to me. Call me crazy, but I rewinded the song several times to make sure I was hearing the song right. The vocals, the message, the instruments >>>>>>>>>
For me, the ballads have been on point this era. The uptempo's are drying up for me.
It and Cockiness are still growing on me. I like it but not LOVE like the others. For the person who asked about WHYB, WFL and RMO, I'm mostly here for Urban Rihanna not the Pop Rihanna. WHYB and WFL are great to dance to, I like them, but they aren't REALLY my thing. Roc Me Out is Trash and I forgot its on the album. I don't use Rude Boy's ugly step-sister...

Let's not snub the good sis Fool In Love tho. Although it's not as instantly captivating, when going through the album from start to finish these lazy holiday days it sounds good. Again, the vocals >>>. Then the guitar riff comes in and mellows out the drama the song creates. At that point I'm like .
It's not a song I jump to when I'm listening to the album so I don't think it's anyone's favorite, but it's a decent ballad.
I'm preparing my Hot 100/SAIKI meltdown for Wednesday. Let me just say this **** is not gonna be cute. See you in a month from Wednesday unless I force myself to stay within Stand Your Ground which will not happen.

I feel your pain. That song is complete trash. I'd rather Katy get that 6th #1 than them
