My mom has grown cool with it. I blast it when she drives me, though I can drive myself now. She even pretends to care about my excitement for 2NE1 and such! Hah

I'm not ashamed tho, I once showed my gf a 2NE1 video, and she was
like " oh......they're...really cute, I guess" I almost bitch-slapped her but that's a different story.

It's fine because it says more about your society than it says about you. Many K-Pop fans live in countries that are very xenophobic and narrow-minded so it's natural to feel ashamed (society wants you to be ashamed).
Ok, I'm a bit relieved I'm not the only one to feel this way ^^
And I agree with you A Muse. I live in France, it's absolutely normal to listen to american music, but you can't listen to asian music without being judged. People look at you like "wtf is wrong with you gurl"... It pisses me off that asian culture is not popular and loved here... I really hope it will change some day.
