That's why I'm not worried. I think she is aware of what we're talkin' about. Maybe coming back to her early commercial success isn't even her goal. It's her carreer, she has all the right to do what she wants.
And beside that, the general public is very
volubile (non so dirlo in inglese 
). Madonna had a huge decline during the Erotica and American Life eras, and she was perfecly able to come back stronger. And several act did similar. Gaga is still selling huge numbers.
