You have a point but they can either boost or slow down a single

Thats the same with me But the label needs her to do well or they won't support her anymore.. Thats how the music world works sadly..

Music like this would've never survived as her debut or something. So much of it was driven by hype.
In addition to that, the promotional efforts have been nonstop the entire year. TFM was able to sell rather decently without such force feeding to the public.
Do I want a flip back to Just Dance? No. But she still needs successful singles.

Omg this is exactly what I've been saying all along. BTW has been a huge commercial success but it's been almost entirely due to the capital she built with her first two albums. That alone is the reason why btw (the song) smashed the way it did, hype!
Her next "first single" will be received with as much anticipation as Bad Romance, in other words a step backwards, all due to the way things have worked out this era.

You have to give some things for anothers. Now she's more respected in the industry and in the eyes of the general public too.

She couldn't keep her momentum going on for three consecutive eras. That's something almost no-one has ever done. Decreasing hype might mean less front-loaded sales.

I think her next first single will be very expected, since people like you (no offense) are waiting ome sort of ''comeback'', you know, after being lifted down by this era. And the others who met this era with praise, they'll be looking into it just to see if it's better than anything this era has offered (like me).

This is true. The BTW era has definitely elevated her on some grounds, despite the short comings. They just need to learn to balance things better in the future.

She is respected by critics, many music legends and people who actually care about the meaning of what she's doing.
Most of general public simply superficially think she is a gay freak, a blashpemous bitch, an instrument of the devil or the Illuminati, a try-hard, a desperate attention-seeker. Or they simply don't care anymore. We can't deny it, she isn't the "it" and "cool" anymore, she has actually alienated a lot of people.
But that also mean she has a large margin of improving with the next eras.

Everyone has always thought she was some freak. She just isn't churning out the same hits the public wants out of her.

I don't know in what hateful place you live, but I'm from México and here all the press praises her, they always notice that she works hard for her fans, that she's very artistic and talented, the next Madonna, etc, etc. and coming from a country like Mexico that tells a lot. And in the times of The Fame/ The Fame Monster, that wasn't the case, at least not here, she was more known for all the rumours like the hermaprodite, bisexual and all those things.

Yes, her image as a whole suffering is a consequence of the polarizing music. Plus, she isolated her straight fanbase. Now you can actually tell people are ashamed to say they like her, something which didn't happen when she was singing Poker Face and Telephone, though she was already considered weird.
I think she will be fine. The general public "hate" isn't consistent, the people who were put off would probably love her again if she released something less polarizing, which I think she will, maybe not soon, but before falling into irrelevance, which she is very far from.

MTN with it's boring chorus and lyrics like "I'm a warrior queen, I'm gonna lace up my boots", what was she thinking
Such a waste of an amazing beat, although the last 35 seconds ***** on discographies. Same with "Hair", catchy song with a fresh beat, ruined by Hannah Montana lyrics
But as long as her next lead single is as good as TEOG (ie: great relatable lyrics, amazing catchy melody, stunning production) we have nothing to worry about.

Remember when she wore that The Fame-ish wig? Everyone was like "OMG, that's the Gaga I love!", "If she keeps this look, I'll be stanning for her again!". What I want to say is that if such little things can have that kind of effect, she can gain back the GP she's lost very easily.
