Let's put it this way: it's interesting but it's not something new.
It depends on how she decides to explore it.

There's a lot out there for her to work with, from legendary producers to underground people and she should take advantage of it. I'm glad she jumped at the opportunity to work with Mutt Lange, and I believe it worked out well for her.

i honestly think RedOne has given all he has to offer , while i love Judas , it's basically bad romance 2 and yes **** and hair are nice but hair's production isn't all that special

I'm not a fan of FG at all. I think a lot of the problems in BTW are because of him.

I think it's interesting that one of the most acclaimed and memorable songs she's ever released was produced by a producer who has produced no other commercial tracks at all. At least Fernando has a light history and RedOne produced a few other ****** hits.

The "oh-oh-oh" production decision (regardless of whose it was) is one of the best decisions on the entire album. It saves Scheisse from mediocrity, in my opinion.

We'll see. Before the video dropped, Jeff said MTN would be this era's make-or-break song, and that if it failed to take off, her next first single would have to be KILLER. I'm sure she and her team have noticed that there's serious trouble in paradise when she no longer has enough pull to turn the song they put all their faith into (the original first single!) into a hit. All that promo, all that radio ball-jingling. It sort of changes everything, as she has entered a new world in her career, and cements the fact that like her peers, she is not in fact a one-woman hit machine. She needs hitmakers to survive. RedOne was obviously a fluke.

I'm hoping it causes some changes too, but her tweets as of late seem just as stubborn as prior.
Trying to dismiss MTN and keep focusing on the album sales.

It worries me that they were prepared to put out Marry The Night as her first single.
For anyone who thinks Born This Way was a bad decision, I can't imagine what the repercussions of that song would have been.

Being Lady Gaga means that almost every producer and songwriter would like to work with her, I think. She has a lot of open doors and a lot of possibilities. Yet, she decides to stick always with the same people. It may be because they are friends and because she likes to work with not famous people, but is it right to her career? I see it as a missed chance of trying something different.

I don't think now as much as TF/TFM. She's not much of a radio success any more. However, it's David Guetta's dream to work with her apparently:
Quote:
"Listen, I'm ready, you should ask her! That would be great, of course," he told us. "She's really a creative genius, and I told her the other day that I saw her last video ['Marry the Night'] and, again, amazing. I love creative people; it's what I live for. Obviously, she's really amazing."
|
What a HUGE blow to her ego that would be (if Interscope insisted). All I want is more DarkChild.

You people are over-doing it.
Just for the record, she has only released two LPs and one EP, which include the works of 14 different producers.

With all the initial hype, any song could have hit #1.
It's difficult to say, imo.

I think she wants to remain an outsider that's why.

I think a David Guetta / Lady Gaga song would SMASH the charts.. I think it would for sure go #1 if it is done right!! I've been here for a Gaga/Guetta collab since I started stanning for Guetta last year.. If she doesn't do a song with him, I think she will have missed one of the most perfect songs to have ever been written for Pop..

Not to me. She wouldn't have even had the empowerment publicity. Marry The Night has just as many places where people say she's "stolen" the song, but it's not a big enough hit for anyone to actually care about it. Plus, the public doesn't want to buy the song. It would have been unimaginably, especially if she tried to follow it with Born This Way or Judas.
