Elton John will not make or break her next album. Speechless on TFM could easily have been an EJ collab. Since she plans to work with him, and since she plans to explore the theme of CITW, might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone and combine them in the same song.

p.s. I'm not sure how I feel about the Midnight City thing. It's a great song, but most of the work on it is done by the main dude in the band, and they've had many releases in the past of lessor quality. Just a hit-or-miss thing, tbh.

I agree on the fact that Elton may be the best person for the theme of the demise of the blonde icon but it's also true that she has to play her cards in the right way since it's pretty clear that it won't be a dance song or something that the public and radios are currently eating up.

It was never going to be a hit. Lesbian relationships, politics, religious references that come off as tasteless and her vocals were always working against it. Her original performance of the song was enough to tell that her vocals were darkly beautiful and never accessible.

The actual song begs you to dance, which is the only thing it has going for it commercially.

Fernando's productions always lack a little something. He's not experienced enough.

RedOne's productions are great, but thanks to Gaga's input, they are noisy and messy on Born This Way.

She needs to work with new producers, but her ego will probably not allow it.

Fernando is much more talented than RedOne, but you are right that he lacks experience.

There's a lot out there for her to work with, from legendary producers to underground people and she should take advantage of it. I'm glad she jumped at the opportunity to work with Mutt Lange, and I believe it worked out well for her.
