Let me assign some names.
Man (first man named): John
Man (in the photograph): James
Man's (in the photograph) father: Josh
Man's (first man named): Jack
Josh is James' father. Josh is also Jack's son. Jack is Johns dad. Which means means that Josh is really John. Which means that James, the man in the photograph is John's son.
