The problem with catering to a younger crowd is they're fickle and tastes change. It's why it's hard for teen pop stars (and those whose target audience are teens) to transition into adult musicians because of evolving music tastes.

I dont see where this matters in the discussion at all. She's targeting adults, which is all fine and well, and thats why she doesnt get the same success as she would if she did. Thats it.
Regardless of how much she's actually done it in the past, she clearly is following trends today.

My sentiments exactly. P!nk is nothing more than a popstar with that "**** You, I Win" type of personality. It doesnt really translate into her music like you'd think. One would expect her to release an album like Adele's or something that doesnt scream "I'm the mature version of Katy Perry".
