Ah, and look! "Katy Hudson" (album) was named one of the Top 12 Christian Albums on 2001! Oh Katy!! It's just where you belong.. on top, LOL! ...........
Katy Hudson
Red Hill
Of the new crop of female teen CCM singers, Katy's my favorite. She writes her own songs, her sound isn't a Britney rip off, and her voice is a compelling blend of Fiona Apple and Sarah McLachlan. I can easily picture her in a smoky, sweaty jazz club (sound-wise, that is). Ironically one of her strengths is her frailty, as she vulnerably lays her fears, longings, weaknesses, and growing pains before listeners, and more importantly, before God. Who isn't drawn to this kind of relatable and gutsy honesty?

Not sure if I posted this already, but Teenage Dream will soon go Gold in Japan! This means the album has sold over 100,00 copies!
And Ramcoro, I know you love numbers and so do I. But, seeing as how we saw flaws in the receipts thread, do you think we could go through and if we find more accurate numbers to replace them? We both know E.T. sold more than 400,000 outside the US. This being just one of the major flaws.
Does anyone feel like Capitol let Katy have her fun during the OOTB era? And now they just want to break records, get #1s, etc. for the TD era? I get so nostalgic watching videos like these ones:

I've already seen that, and it's adorable.

The OP got those numbers from media traffic. Media traffic only counts songs in the top 40, so that's why all the songs are off. You can post somewhat more accurate numbers in there, but I doubt the OP will change it.
