Why are people hating? I mean if Katy and her label want higher positions/sales then what's the problem? I would love it if my faves did stuff like this. Sure it might come off as desperate, but who cares? I much rather have the bragging rights. People are mad cuz their faves aren't doing this. Get it Katy!

The meltdown are starting and it's not even #1 yet , I couldn't careless if it hits #1 or not, the problem is that most of you are getting mad because she could break MJ's record, so let's not.

It's just ridiculous. From now on, whenever you here the word Katy Perry, the first thing to come to one's mind will be "desperate." Kind of like how when you hear Lady Gaga, the first word to come to mind is "weird" or "over-the-top."
The thing is...I dont think BOB will get this to #1, hes about as irrelevant as they come. Missy is too right now, but LFN was SOOO close to #1, while this has 3 huge monsters in front of it.
The sad part is, LFN wouldve gotten number 1 without a remix had she gone on a show to perform it (she didnt perform it once on tv) or if the music video was pushed back a few days. And the solo ET wouldve gotten #1 I think too, and TOTGA couldve gotten number 1 had she schedules x factor and the victoria secrets fashion show
The song was doing fine on its own, all it needed was a lot more promo not a remix with a rapper no one knows anymore. Now there's another reason for people to hate on Katy...
