She used to be known as Lizzy Grant, but her first album was shelved/ scrapped and you could find some of her songs/demos online. Her album comes out on the 30th of January in the Europe and that's Lana Del Rey in a nutshell.
I searched for her on Spotify and those two songs are the only I could find. Is it just me or is she incredibly hot? This is all really exciting! I like her stuff so far. Especially Born to Die.

The first thing that crossed my mind was that the video, and possibly the song, is an outlook on either love itself or a particular relationship that's doomed from the start. The kind of relationship that both parties know has no potential for permanence and will end horribly, yet neither can surrender to that very logic. They love hard, fast, and dangerous, until the inevitable happens.
I loved it; it was shot beautifully. The theme was definitely how love can be a dangerous thing. Definitely got some Boleyn feels from the scenes in the chapel, which fits with the theme perfectly.

My friends are also saying it was a suicide pact. Which isn't too far-fetched, I guess. She tries to back out of it, but he convinces her to go through. In the end, she's the only one that ends up dying. Interesting interpretation.

i agree she seems to be struggling with the thought of staying with him and living for the moment but suffering the inevitable emotional consequences or leaving him and feeling the pain of loneliness in that moment.
