Every one of you said how amazing it was and what a mistake it was NOT to release it FIRST. Now that it flopped in the US, we can all act like we knew it would all along

Judas doing badly put a kink in the momentum but rushing TEoG, giving it that video, and then following it up with You and I with a confusing video put the nail in the coffin. You and I deserved to be a single, just not then (last single of the era would have been preferable). They really needed MTN, Sheisse, or even Hair instead to give the general public a taste of what they want from Gaga. Now she's gonna have to work for that momentum, which is going to be tricky given what's left on the album. If MTN can just keep getting positive radio updates, I'm confident the era will be back on track in no time.

That's why I feel like Gaga's main focus was never to appeal to the general public this era. O_O I mean, there's no way she would put THOSE singles out if it was about trying to get a #1 single.
