i just think there are more lazy, uninspired to work americans than there are the same of illegal immigrants. it bothers me how people in this thread think every illegal immigrant is from Mexico. Don't be ****ing ignorant they come from all over south and central america.

you don't see any illegal immigrants standing under a bridge holding a sign begging for money to feed their family. the people standing under a bridge have their citizenship and have a much higher chance of getting a job opposed to illegals that have no sort of social security or any work papers - they're just lazy.

i don't have a problem with illegal immigrants. they tend to have hot children, well, rarely... if they don't act ghetto as hell and are groomed properly

How is it taking away money from America? Unlike the majority of greedy Americans, illegal immigrants don't get health care, SSI benefits, food stamps, disability, etc. etc. The only thing I can think of is the gov't GOING OUT OF THEIR WAY to deport them. That goes back to the gov't causing the problem.

Wanna know what's draining the economy? Large corporations outsourcing. The elderly living on social security. Gov't raising taxes on the poor. People who can get job living off of welfare and government assistance. College kids not being able to pay back their loans because the ****ed up banking system. Families not being able to pay their mortgages because of the ****ed up housing system.

I don't see immigrants anywhere in that paragraph. Op.

I'm a newbie here, and still trying to keep up with the topic. I don't really understand about the illegal immigration topic we talk here. But I agree with this statement about China's economic growth in the past few years. China has found a shortcut that the US forgot or never pay attention to, China followed the EU steps, they built a strong connection with the third world countries in a peaceful way, slowly take the advantage from it but never abandon them (there's even a documentary about it, but I forgot from which channel). While the US waste the money on wars and got nothing at the end. The US plays the game wrong this time.

The US is losing in every sector. The govs pay attention to other countries, instead of focusing on fixing the problems in economy & other public sectors. This is actually that cut the number of jobs, the illegal immigrants? Not so much, cause they can't get the legal jobs (full with insurance, etc. etc.) without legal documents. The govs to blame here.

Not really, I brought it back because I remember how interesting some of the debates / discussions were. I usually update when someone suggests a new topic (ie: the current topic). It's amazing to me that people would question the validity of a thread they know nothing about.

That's EXACTLY what America is facing. For some reason you seem to believe having illegal immigrants here isn't hurting anyone. Uh, yeah, it is.

And yes, allowing illegal immigrants to take resources that should be for Americans DOES affect the country. When you're inviting friends over to your family dinner and their isn't enough casserole left for your own family, you're going to want to make some more for them. But how can you make more for them, when you don't even have the resources to do it?
