That's because the Ellen performance last month should have been a Hit the Lights one.

LYLALS is actually smashing now on radio and as expected, the performance had little to no effect on it on iTunes. Hit the Lights would have benefited from exposure like that, because a) Selena can actually sing it live & b) It wasn't high on iTunes at all.

But yay at a new peak for LYLALS.

But of course, however no one pays attention to her longevity, so a slow riser (like LYLALS) making it to the top 20 (or so), 6 months after its release is something to brag about.

Personally I'd prefer an even balance. A high peak + longevity. And I think LYLALS, followed by Hit the Lights will help to ensure that for the next era.

All it needs to do well, is more radio spins. It's doing GREAT on it's own.

Yeah. She really lacks confidence in her TV performances. Tour-performances are much better.

Maybe after two back-to-back platinum singles, Radio will jump on her singles FASTER so that constant TV-promo isn't even necessary, like Britney/Rihanna/Drake/Jay-Z/Chris Brown and every damn body else lol.

HWR needs to send her songs for adds date earlier.
And ask fans what single to send please.
