Ok, so I just watched it for the first time (was holding out for VEVO, but **** that)
If I have one or two annoyances with it, it is the scene at her apartment, I felt she was trying too hard (as much as I hate that phrase). And her lack of editing skills showed. But that's it.
Overall it is actually a great piece. The opening monologe is iconic and while many of you hate the extended dance sequence I felt it was very raw and emotional and actually suited the concept. We still don't know if it was rape, abortion, drugs, or a combination of those things, but she showcased her pain in a very interesting way.
The final minutes involving the cars, the street dancing, the flashbacks SLAYED ME, and at '4pm....' I actually had tears, thats never happened with a Gaga video for me.
Not everyone will like it, as per any Gaga video, and I honestly can't see it doing much for the charts, but it is definatly in my top 5 videos.
Well done Gaga.
