There can be drama at any label though. There are so many more established artists who have suffered at other labels.

I just don't know enough about record labels and the actual details of Kelly's dispute with RCA to know if changing labels would be beneficial. Are the issues really RCA-specific or are they just major label issues that can't be escaped even with a label change? If it's the former, then yes I can be for Kelly changing labels, but if it's the latter then I don't get how changing labels would help. Unless people want Kelly to go to a smaller, indie-label. That would be a mistake, imo, because we would see even LESS promo and success.

THIS, so much. Even Kelly says herself that the label-artist clash is not anything new or specific to her. Unless artists go indie, they're gonna have to do compromise on some level with major labels.

Kelly being on RCA is what's best to be honest. They've got new execs, new teams and Kelly seems to get along with them. I'm not here for Kelly going to a flop label. Life is about compromises. They have found a balance.

If anything, I could see her going to Simon Cowell's Syco Record label, which still has her in the RCA family because Sony backs Simon.

tbqh I wouldn't hate her if she released a pure dance track created by calvin harris or afrojack or deadmau5. it's so unexpected of her that I feel like if she did and it was decent, it would smash for sure. and I don't mean a dance track like "If I can't have you"...that song is bogus especially with all of Tedder's overbearing production on it.
