I hate when people say mean things about her. She is wonderful. If she slays her live performances, all the haters would shut up. I love her! I hope Love You Like A Love Song can go top 10 on pop radio. Do y'all think it is possible now that it has support from Z100???

Americanos promote, promote. Selena is not in the top 100 on walmart.com, which is freakishly weird since both K&T and AYWR are.

Target doesn't have anymore copies online, only in stores. 
And Bestbuy hasn't lowered Selena's price from $12, while they and everyone else is selling Demi's newer CD for 6 bucks.

She doesn't need to rebuild her whole fanbase. She's been selling as much as she did with HWGA. It's harder for Demi to sell because people (even after her PR-tour) just aren't interested in purchasing her album. If prices are going to be lowered for an album that has been out for two months, than it's only fair that Selena's (who's been out for 6 months) should be lowered as well.
If I were a Lovatic I wouldn't even want stores to lower the price (permanently) so soon and so much. That means stores aren't making as big as profit as they would want and would probably order less of the next album.

Oh please. Demi should have retained that fanbase from before and expanded on it by exploiting her problems for publicity. It's just not working for her. Sorry2say.

Selena got discounts after 4 months or so of being in stores.
And Demi hasn't lost her Disney-kiddy fans if Disney decides not to promote her songs on TV. Most of those little kiddy fans LIVE on Twitter/Youtube,etc. If they were fans, they're going to seek her out. Disney is not the only way to reach tweens. Look at Justin Bieber! Now, if they weren't interested in Demi to begin with, they wouldn't make an effort. And being shown on Disney doesn't equal sales either. Look at the new Disney-stars, they all have lackluster sales while being steadily rotated on Radio Disney and Disney.
And let's not even pretend she was selling so great even when she had Disney-backing her.
I didn't even mention her talking about her issues, you need glasses obviously. Demi has been on magazines/radio/tv interviews/awards, still lackluster sales. You contradict yourself; first you say she'll sell less because she's going to get less exposure on Disney. It stands to reason then that if she's in magazines/tv constantly/more exposure, her sales should pick up if people actually wanted to look into her music.

Erhm, yes? So what if Amazon has them lower, it still doesn't take away from the fact that two big ass huge ass retailers who have annual incomes higher than the GDP's of most countries, have her old albums at regular prices.

She can't retain her whole kiddy fanbase. They obviously forgot about her since she hasn't been on DC for probably 3/4 year or even one full year. She's not on DC anymore plus her songs don't get played on Radio Disney anymore that much, IDT they ever played Skyscraper  so she basically lost the whole Disney promo.

She SAID herself to MTV Canada that Disney are no longer going to promote her.
Selena is still the one who gets promoted a lot on Disney AND outside Disney.

I don't remember that happen. And if it did, I doubt it was on all her albums by all the retailers.
And no, do you really expect the kids to get on twitter and facebook?? NO, when I was a kid I used to watch Disney a lot and bought a lot of stuff because of their promo, I'm not lying just to prove myself right, I actually did buy a few games and CDs lol.

Justin Bieber is DIFFERENT LMFAO, you can't compare a Disney star to JUSTIN, Justin built his fanbase by himself, remember Miley last year? remember how CBT barely sold a little over 100k in the first week while her albums sold over 250k in the first weeks? exactly, she hasn't gotten any support from Disney and she lost her young fanbase, its hard to transform from a young singer to an adult singer, especially if you're signed to Disney.

Miley Cyrus sold less because she went from Hannah Montaga-type of music to mature-sexy-humping-the-stage **** in one instant, and ended up alienating her kiddie fanbase. DEMI LOVATO did not have such a big change in music. Her music and her tour outfits are still tame as hell. And the point I made with Justin is that you don't have to have Disney to build a fanbase. Do we need to talk about Rihanna and Britney? they didn't promote their albums, they just thought their "issues" would sell for them... Rated R ended up being Rihanna's 2nd least selling album behind A Girl Like Me and Blackout was Britney's WORST SELLING ALBUM but now Femme Fatale is her worst.
How does this make sense? Rihanna didn't lose any fans, she didn't have any radio hits and went a whole different direction on that album, it still managed to go platinum. (and the reduction didn't even do anything to bump sales). AND her personal issues did help with sales. Where were you when GOOD GIRL GONE BAD, DOUBLED 200% in sales after Chris Brown attacked her. And Britney lost fans because she got ******* crazy. Demi decided to focus on her PR-friendly-disorder while hiding her cigarettes/and AA-tags from the paparazzi/public eye. Demi was everywhere, just like Rih was after CB. She herself has said her PR-department wanted her to. For sales, what do you think?

Well Demi went from the nice girl next door to the rehab girl with the issues. A lot of kid fans left her at the time where the publicity wrote **** about her last year.
And Demi's outfit might be "tame" but her performances really aren't kid friendly
