She doesn't have enough material to release a ballad album... Britney has only released 9 ballads as singles and only few of them are relevant in her career.
These are the ballads released by britney so far
1) Sometimes (1999)
2) Born to make you happy (1999)
3) From the bottom of my broken heart (1999)
4) Lucky (2000)
5) Don't let me be the last to know (2001)
6) I'm not a girl not yet a woman (2001 US / 2002 WW)
7) Everytime (2004)
8) Someday (I will understand) (2005)
9) Criminal (2011)
For her label that would be enough to milk us once again
your forgetting several mid tempos. not all of the ones on Madonnas albums were singles before hand. Madonna also recorded a couple new ones for that album alone. Brit would have to do the same.
Yeah but honestly I prefer that Britney releases a Ballad compilation when she has more "good ballads" in her repertory and when she is a bit older.
I don't want to see at this point of her career an album with corny / teenage vibe songs like: Sometimes, From the bottom of my broken heart, Lucky and I´m not a girl not yet a woman.
She is a different woman now, and for a ballad album I want more serious and adult contemporary ballads like: Don´t let me be the last to know, Everytime, Someday (I will understand) and Criminal

oh i agree with you. I think she could record about maybe 3/4 more ballads then put it on the album with Unusual You, Everytime, etc. I think it would be cool.

Yes and maybe "And then we kiss" could be considered
I always wondered why Britney, or her contemporaries, didn't release more non-studio albums. People like Madonna, Janet, Michael etc did this all the time throughout the 90's. I mean Madonna's biggest albums were never her studio ones, it was her soundtracks and compilations, same as Celine. It's a good way to keep yourself in the public eye when you are not releasing a full studio album. It's not about milking people out of money, it's about maintaining your exposure.
If Britney didn't release the Singles Collection, we would have had nothing in late 2009/early 2010, sure it was ONE song but it gave us a video, and a new single treatment, and some magazine interviews.
If she doesn't release a full album in 2012, which I believe she won't, I would love a one off single or something to that affect. If she is indeed on will.i.am's album, then we are for sure getting her feature as a single

i was the first to report this Mr. Chico Telly
i do think its true tho. bc i remeber at the time they recorded 2 songs together. and of course we only got 1.
Okay, y'all. I got the tea exclusively and I'm going to share because I'm just that nice. "Up n' Down" is going to be the next single, it's been announced. The video is going to partially take place in a club. Britney got all tricked down and she came out up to this "thing", thing meaning - club. She's lookin' so fire hot, a twenty outta ten. So, pretty much, Britney will be wearing a sexy red dress with white or black stilettos. She sees him watchin' ha, watchin' ha on the floor. They approach each other and she grinds on him because she is HORNY and needs some lovin'. During the chorus, they go back to this luxurious palace and she brings it again, and again, and again all night by seducing him in fancy black lingerie with long, luscious blonde hair. The boy is sweatin' up a storm and then she gives him a lap dance during the "Down and up and down" part. Then during the second verse + chorus, she's back in the club with him and dancing with mad people around them. Then, during the bridge, it flashbacks in slow motion to them meeting in the club and eyeing each other. The release date is yet to be announced.
Yeah me too

Does anyone knows who would be the oppening act for Britney???
I mean we are 8 days away from Mexico show & 6 days for Guadalajara & there´s still not opening act

the situation was different then, During 80s & 90s the music industry worked well and safe.
Now everything with music is a huge risk, But I still believe Britney has enough potential to sell very well with compilation albums she proved it with "GH:MP" that album (internationally) is one of her best selling ones.
The problem is "BITM1", "BITM2" and "TSC" were bad marketed, they didn't milk the cow properly.
"TSC" was released in the wrong time, that album was the perfect one to be released during 2012 as the offical second part of her first GH as a well prepared project, which would include songs from "Someday (I will understand)" to the last single from Femme Fatale plus 2 new epic tracks.
So if her team don't know how to milk the cow properly then I prefer Britney doesn't release more compilation albums cuz "BITM1", "TSC" and "BITM2" just made her look like a poor seller.
