You could almost hear Simon Cowell saying, back in the days when he wasn’t forced to say nice things because he’s responsible for the financial future of a talent show winner, “You took a risk tonight and it paid off.”
I think I would've loved the arrangement more if she actually sang the song to fit the big band arrangement. The way she sang the song is pretty much how she always does. Where was the Stuff Like That There sass and accent? *sighs*
The big band arrangement didn't really kick in until the bridge. I would have liked to hear it on the verses though... Like, have a big break between each line with drums/saxophone or whatever.
I really want to hear her start a performance acapella. That bit where she stopped during rehearsal and just sang "You don't know a thing about me" to test the sound was the best part imo.

She should've changed the vocal arrangement a bit. The production wasnt great either but with the right vocal arrangement it would've worked better.

You're right it would have sounded so good if it were sung like that... Especially if they slowed the tempo on the verses a bit (I never liked how fast yet choppy they are... waste of Kelly's voice).
I like the big band. I like the instrumental. I like the dancers.
I don't like watching Kelly flub the lyrics. I don't like the background music covering up the vocalist. I didn't like how she looked until I saw this.

As much as I enjoyed the arrangement and her dress I don't think I'll be able to watch it ever again because it made me so sad to see her flub the lyrics like that. She sounded great still, but it just hurts
