She's not doing that much better and Kesha started in the digital era, so she SHOULD be selling better, she promoted more as well. She's also local as ****, britney ***** on her worldwide.
The stars are aligning for a wonderful and glorious 2012.
No major artists: Beyonce is pregnant, Rihanna probably won't release something next year, ADELE takes gaps, Katy's taking a break, Lady GaGa probably won't release a new CD next year b/c she wants lots of singles, and Ke$ha's releasing in the summer...
I really believe that Britney needs to STRIKE in the down year that will be 2012. This year, there were too many big releases and headlines that overshadowed Britney.
With everyone taking a break next year, Britney needs to BREAK HER REFRESH CYCLE where she releases her CDs in the midst of a overly competitive year.
Britney HAS to release her sure-fire 8th studio album next fall.
I posted basically the same thing yesterday as well. It really would be the perfect time.

That and "My baby" esp. that note she hits at the end.

HIAM -- Circus -- California Gurls -- You Da One -- My Life Would Suck With Out You
He's fire when he's not giving artists filler.
California girls?
And You Da One sounds like the TTWE remix and Inside out in some parts.
Yes, Dr.Luke can be versatile at times but most of the time he's simply not.

I've never understood why she reduces herself to sing songs with so basic and generic lyrics.
The first thing I noticed on FF was the album is great in sound, production, beats, style, vibe, etc .. which is great and makes the album enjoyable, but it completely lacks in lyrical substance which is a shame.
For her next album I want variety and more interesting lyrics and not just 12 consecutive songs about sex/parties.
DS and HAI were age appropriate....but songs like SIWAK for a 29-year-old woman using a derivative of the same hook from Tik Tok, Cali Gurls, and Domino is not cool.
I love SIWAK, and think it should be a single -- but the production outshines everything else about that song. It just seems wrong for Britney to be singing stuff like that.
SIWAK is a bit immature, but i feel like people (including myself) are making britney seem older than she really is because she's a mother and has been in the business for so long. She's only 2 years older than katy.

I kind of want Britney to take a short break. Just so she can realize there are other things out there then music. I want her to be involved the next time she releases something and I feel right now that she is so limited as a person. I want her to experience things and become an actual person again. Not be this scared entity that has to read from cue cards, practice answers and be this hermit that doesn't want to interact with people. That's why I want her to persue other projects like acting because to be honest I can't go threw this again. Britney needs to get her life back and what she has put forth this era just isn't cutting it.
She has the potential of becoming the next Regina Phalange.
I've been meaning to show you ****s that video, it's so beautifully made and captures Britney's impact she's made on not only pop culture and music but the impact she's made on the general public and shows how diverse her fan base is. You even see a fan in the video who's over 35 years old and loves Britney.
A single tear almost rolled down my face when I first saw it, esp. when they play the 'Someday I will understand' remix.
This is beautiful
I'm kinda sensitive right now because I'm seeing the queen in 2 days
I'll be leaving tonight to the venue
The conservatorship needs to end first before we ask for another album or it's going to be the same thing as FF era if Britney doesn't get her freedom back. Y'all can clearly see that Britney wants it back. Her tour theme is spilling boiling tea. It's not that conservatorship is bad but it made her a recluse. And those type of people aren't cut for show business. Britney just lost all her motivation this era. It could've work if not for Jive going under but if RCA could work something out with Britney if she's still under conservatorship where she will never feel obligated to do her work but just release an album whenever she feels like it, then it could go better. Britney this era, was a victim of a label on its last days to drain her out of all the possible money they could make out of her name. It's just sad tbh.
What I hate about this era is that the promotion we wanted and would benefit the album hugely was most likely booked by Britney's team for Britney to appear and perform on but was cancelled and then denied by her team as if she wasn't originally going to appear.
Grammys
Perez was too sure of himself she was going to perform. He's really close to her team and it was probably true of there being a Britney Grammy performance of HIAM planned. Adam took ****ing forever to comment and deny it, making it look like he was unsure of it actually going to happen. Perez claiming it a load of times, fans spamming Adam asking if it was true and even a TT to try and get an official announcement and nothing from her team. Adam then denied on the week of the Grammys after it being official that Britney and her team backed out.
Ellen
Confirmed by Ellen herself, but was cancelled and suppose to be "rescheduled", obviously will never happen.
UK X-Factor
ITV did actually confirm, they confirmed Britney as well as Gaga, Jessie J and Adele. Gaga performed, Jessie J's performing soon and Adele was planned but backed out because of her throat. Britney was most likely as well but of course was cancelled and Shoshanna denied ITV even saying it. There was also the report of Simon begging Britney to perform on X-Factor but she and her team refused.
Alan Carr
Confirmed on Alan Carr's Twitter in reponse to a fan asking, Shoshanna again denied Britney even appearing and Alan said she was suppose to appear but yet again they back the **** out.

They hyped the era too much and it all backfired on them tbh.
If they were just honest and said that Britney wouldn't promote as much as last era, I wouldn't be this disappointed with Britney this era.
Remember when Britney was fishing in Lousianna while HIAM was falling off the charts. I knew something wrong is going on...
I think everywhere I look in this thread someone is so bitter about HIAM success. Sure it was her first single from the album, but it still got massive 1st week sales, and broke a radio record (that at the time was currently held by Eminem). Sure I would've loved for it to sell more than 2 million but 1.4 million really isn't that bad. the only thing that could've been better was to release the video much sooner and not release 15 teasers.

I can't with her not giving an actual **** about her career anymore!

@britneyspears: I'm doing a lot of promo. There will be some major announcements in the next few days.
That "lots of promo" didn't happen and was cancelled by Britney and her team!
There's no excuse for her not promoting her music properly! We aren't even asking heavy ITZ promotion, just smart continued promotion throughout the era not just a week's promo on the album's release and that's it. I hate the excuses she gets from fans for not promoting as well, "she's a legend", "she's proved herself already", "she does this for FUN" and "she's a mother of 2" ...
Omg! When Britney goes fishing instead of supporting her own album, that's when you know she doesn't give a **** about it.
her promotion has always been the week of album release since circus. But just bc she isn't on every show performing a song for every single (EX: Rihanna) doesnt mean she doesn't care about her music. She's a mom first.

HIAM success was only for ONE week every ****ing where! After that, it fell like a rock worldwide on every chart and it's chart run and sales are a joke. It's embarrassing considering it was a first single, it's an actually amazing song, got such a underrated and overlooked video for it not getting the success it deserved and if given attention and promotion, it actually could of smashed like Womanizer. But leave it to Britney and her team to give a song an extremely early death, not the mention the ****ery they did to the video's release.

jackky you know I love you but let's not. The Grammy awards and the X factor stuff is all fan speculation. And she has done promo thruout the era. Billboard awards and the VMAS are examples of that. During the circus era she didn't even go awards. And whether ppl like it or not, Brit Is a mom and family always does and will come first.
