I think Drunk On Love is my favorite "ballad" by Rihanna. It's probably the only one I like at all. I know it's not really a ballad, but it's a slow-to-mid-temp emotional song and I feel like the emotion comes across really well. Even though she's going way over the top with her vocals in the song, it doesn't feel like she is, which ruined songs like CKB, Farewell, etc. for me. It seems to accomplish everything a ballad could want to. The xx sample was a brilliant choice, as well. It's probably one of the two highlights of the albums for me.
I would love it if it just was extended by using the same parts/lyrics of the interlude and made sound like a one song... not a one starting 3 times from the beginning as this someone here...
