We Found Love is showing NO signs of letting up, but YDO is coming so quickly.
So, which would y'all prefer: WFL being #1 for 5+ weeks, or WFL #1 for 3 weeks and YDO for 1?
*This is all hypothetical by the way; I'm not saying either is gonna happen.

YDO is coming for WFL's weave. It's only a matter of time gurlz. We best start accepting it.
but then WFL will come for YDO wig

I agree. I was going to say it, but it wouldn't have been so nice.
The " we found love in a hopeless place" part is just....

I would prefer WFL be #1 for 3 weeks, YDO for 1 week, get replaced by WFL, and then maybe being replaced by YDO again.

You never know what's going to happen, who honestly believed that WFL would have this many weeks at #1 without Rihanna in the country and not doing any promo for it?

I sort of agree with what they were saying, since WITH promotion it could've emulated Umbrella-scale success. That being said, I also think that having consistent success is necessary and that having more songs to promote the album is important. In terms of the album considering the era was rushed like hell by IDJ, releasing You Da One and promoting it like they are is a good idea, unfortunately We Found Love gets negatively affected because of it.
We Found Love did amazing, though. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean We Found Love is over now, either. It will likely take two or three weeks for You Da One to take #1 and We Found Love has this week on lock and has a really good chance of snagging next week as well since it's still slaying on radio and STILL is at the top of iTunes after weeks and weeks. In any case, it'll slowly descend and have longevity for a good month or two, much like how PRA drifted down instead of dropped.
I'm not worried, I'd be happy to see You Da One at #1 or top 10 at this point, tbh. I'm just happy that I love the album.

Omggahhhh, and I think it's a good time to announce that I like Watch n' Learn & Talk that Talk now. I wasn't too fond of them at first, but they've grown on me soooo much!!
still waiting for Cockiness to do the same.

I don't think she sounds horrible at all. (there is a pretty loud backing track)

I thought she sounded amazing until I watched the video for the 2nd time. Now, not so much.

I see lots of people don't think YdO is a great 2nd single and they say it's good but just lacks something to be a hit.
I got a thought, maybe DJ just wants to slow down by releasing YdO as the 2nd single cuz WFL is so successful, and after YdO, release a BIG BOOM BOOM HIT like WHYB or RMO, which seems reasonable.
What do y'all think?

Honestly, I'd be okay with WFL leaving the Hot 100 completely if it meant YDO hits #1.
I need that Mariah record to be shattered.

You Da One is the perfect "garner quick buzz" single. Getting a ton of radio stations to play it and promote Talk That Talk and then rush release it on iTunes while pre-orders for the album are high = a good way to get the news of a new album out. You Da One is a good single in any case, but its release at this time period was strictly to get more Talk That Talk buzz.
