Looking through the old threads people didn't expect much from the album saleswise tbh. Maybe people were being modest but a lot of peoples predictions went as low as 4m worldwide. Interesting how that's now deemed disappointing.

The reason why Britney was still considered the world's biggest popstar back then is because while Stripped sold like 10-12million copies, Britney released in recent previous/similar time 2 consecutive 20million selling albums and a third 10million seller album. It was impossible for Christina to be considered the biggest popstar back then and after Stripped era ended being barelly her second album she declined like a rock.

I really hope Gaga can last a lot time in the bussiness but the question is how much is going to sell her next 3rd studio album, 3million copies? ... and then what? ...

Your argument is still inconsistent. Albums sold a lot more back then - 10million sales would've been average for Britney's standards at the time. Christina owned Britney commercially during the "Stripped" period - I'm pretty sure it sold more than "Britney" did, Britney's 3rd album might not have done as well as her first 2, but she was still considered over Christina to be the world's biggest popstar - which is what Gaga is generally seen as now.

In just 3 years in the bussiness she declined a lot with this era, She comes from an Album (The Fame) that sold Like 15million copies, and despite the super/constant/thousands of promotion she does, now her "BTW" album with 5 singles is struggling to reach the 5million mark in the "mediatraffic" chart and in "musicharts" is just above the 5million mark.

I'm not saying she should sell 15million copies again but the decline margin between TF and BTW is so big, Literally she lost like 10million fans who bought TF and didn't bought her inmediate next album BTW.

Apparently she is not the favorite anymore. I hope she recovers with a re-release or new studio album.

He/she doesn't acknowledge it in their post though - so its as if they think The Fame sold 15 million on its own when it would've in fact sold around 7m without TFM and BTW is actually pretty close to that now I think. Mediatraffic doesn't count every country in the world.
