Oh my, God. The Femme Fatale has been on TV for the past 3 days. MBC, the biggest Middle Eastern Channel was broadcasting old concerts of Britney, The Onyx Tour + Las Vegas' DWAD. She was all over the news. The reporters kept complementing how Britney unexpectedly wore less-revealing outfits for the show. They said that the concert was a success either ways, but her doing it for her Arab fans was very sweet.
Apparently it's the best selling show since Celina Dion came to the middle east, like 6 years ago. The reviewers were thrilled - NOTHING about lipsynching was mentioned. "THE QUEEN OF POP FINALLY VISITS THE MIDDLE EAST, BRINING HER SOLD-OUT FEMME FATALE TOUR TO ABU DHABI!"
In one of the reports, they said that Femme Fatale is the 2nd best selling album by an international female artist in the Middle East, after ADELE's 21. She beat Gaga here. They also talked about how Lady Gaga's team is trying to bring her upcoming Born This Way Tour to the Middle East, and the reporter joked - "I doubt she'll do it the way Britney did. Britney has been the first to do everything since Madonna." I spat my pepsi. I died.
I am so proud of her, although I couldn't make it ($600 plane ticket), I'm still very happy she came.
