The whole era makes sense, which not a lot of artists care about doing. Each video had a theme/an idea that matched the song perfectly. Other artists that came out with an album this year, just plain SUCKED (I wont name names but...Mi amore vole fe yah)

Music vids are more than "SELL THE ALBUM", their creating an emotional connection that sells the SONG. I'm more likely to buy the friken song after watching a music video than going "Hey, I think I'll buy the whole album just cause of that video".

Also, SOME artists ( KELLY <3 ) dont make music JUST 2 sell sell sell, they do it cause they love it.

Anyway, whats the ETA on the 7min version?

They're meant (at least in the digital era) to tell people that "HEY THIS ****ING SONG EXISTS GO BUY IT NOW".

Then as the singles get more successful, Katy gets more notoriety, which should translate to album sales.

Her singles just arent giving the album the push it needs.

With 5 #1s, it should have been selling more. Look at 21. It's had only 2 #1s and it's 4mill and going.
