Why doesn't she use backing tracks anymore? Is it because she feels it takes away from the integrity of the performance?
I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason. She probably wants the performance to sound completely live.
I also wish she used a backing track for the production too. The production is the best part of WDKY and the live instruments just don't capture it the same way. Like where is DJ Ric? Can't he come in and add some of the electronic production into it? Ugh.
Didn't Dave Meyers direct the Firework video? I'd like to see him work with Kelly again...

I agree though! If she's going to perform wdky on the ama's, it better be upbeat! I've never seen a live upbeat performance of wdky before! hopefully by then she will use a backing track for the production!

I'm guessing they will be adding her DJ when the real promo for the song begins. I don't think he's with them right now.

The backing track will help her slay. I kinda hate that she stopped. This performance slayed so hard.
gosh kelly's voice is so strained now! listening to live performances now, it's hard for her to hit such high notes, but it sounds now deep and raspy, which i love! yeah i agree kelly either needs to pollixh her vocals on wdky or use a backing track, her voice alone isn't gonna cut it at the ama's, but difineately a better performance of it at vh1!
