Britney has done trance though. Breathe On Me and And Then We Kiss were both trance-ambient style sounding songs and she has also done Heaven On Earth, Unusual You and Trip To Your Heart too.
She only dabbled in it, And The We Kiss is the closet she has gotten into going full on trance, especially with the original.
She needs to work with REAL trance producers not the ones who are going to pussyfoot around with it, and make it trance-pop. I'm talking, Paul Oakenfield, Tiesto, etc. And if they want to keep it a trance-pop sound than someone like Stuart Price is the perfect fit, Confessions Of A Dancefloor is like a blueprint on everything Britney SHOULD do, but take it even further.
And trancestep is a huge budding underground genre, it mixes both trance and dubstep, which I think is a perfect meld of what she could really do.
One thing I don't want, is a boring ass album full of ballads .

But the downside of doing urban influenced music is that her more mainstream fans may not be as receptive to it. Personally I'd like her to transition to more pop/rock. Britney won't need to dance if she moves towards pop/rock, and can actually focus on her vocals. I'd like Sony/RCA greenlight more deep, personal songs. I'm fine for a Dr. Luke collaboration on her new album if he gives me music in the vein of Kelly Clarkson-Breakaway but better. I'm not here for more of the same. Britney is iconic. Her sound should be as well.
Britney NEEDS to have more songs written and/or co-written by her on the next album. Get Linda Perry's ****ing ass in there and dig out Emotionalney. I need some deep ****. If she went dark ala Rated R I'd be fine too. I just want something different. As heir apparent to Madonna's throne, she needs to make a transition.
I see what you did there, and I say no. Britney is not a "pop/rock" artist and that would be so boring. Her pop/rock songs are the pits and generic as Hell.
I want Britney to record what she feels like it. Whether it be urban, dubstep, dance-pop, country-trancepop, etc. As long as it's not repetitive and continually forward, I'm somewhat satisfied. The somewhat being from the fact that I do agree with the second half, however. Would be awesome if she wrote more, and actually developed real concepts for her albums like Britney, In The Zone, Blackout and not generic ones like Circus and Femme Fatale (which she is the furthest from it, being so shy and behind the scenes).
That is Britney's one problem with music, her albums lack concept, each and every one is soo loosely tied together by some insignificant thread. Blackout wouldn't even had a concept, which I use very lightly, were it not for everything surrounding her life...which allowed people to draw it for her.
And please, and I know this is wishing on a nonexistent star, try to tie it in with your album imagery for ONCE. Hopefully since she is with RCA, they will give her Christina's "visual team", cause Christina may have a lot of faults lately, but the one thing she has always done correctly is her album artwork.

I agree completely. Blackout's "concept" was determined by her life at the time. And what we knew of it. The sexuality, the darkness, uncontrollability etc. It just fit. I pray what she does next has some thought to it and not just "oh let's think of some cool name and make a concept around it".

Criminal was number 2 tonight on our most requested
I hear it almost every hour now
Where do you live? Is your station big? I'm glad a city will get to hear it. The station they put at my office still plays I Wanna Go. I want Criminal to get played in early December.

Middle of Wisconsin but its really good, because before the radio HATED Britney, her songs were NEVER played and Hold It Against Me got a 94% SMASH(never play again) rate and TTWE and IWG were like 56 and 60% Jam(play again). Criminal I guess got a 86 Jam and has been on radio A LOT. My city finially stanning
Its not a big big station, but 3rd biggest in our state.
I don't understand how these people are able to stand there and smile like that. She is HOLDING Britney's hand....I'd faint.
Right? Well, I wouldn't wanna faint because I wouldn't want to scare Britney. She probably just wants to be treated like a regular person, but I'd surely be shaking.
