We don't think they have nuclear weapons yet. If we're able to stop Iran before they develop WOMD, I'm all for it. But I'm worried....what if they have got some? What if the attack doesn't work, and they retaliate? I mean, I know the theory is that if two countries have nuclear weapons, neither will use them because the other will too. But this is Iran, for gods sake.

Why do people waste their time fretting about Illuminati plots when there are far more real and immediate dangers everywhere?

China is definitely not supportive of any war at this point between Iran and Israel but if "push comes to shove", China would support Iran as it has always been an advocate for less U.S. involvement worldwide.

Aren't China and North Korea allie's though?

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

I'll be self-absorbed then. Look, I'm part Cherokee Indian and the "United" States ways hit close to home. The Trail of Tears killed thousands of innocent Indians and some of my possible ancestors because the United States government forced them to migrate thousands of miles across the country to Oklahoma just because the greedy ass American government wanted access the the land these tribes already called home. They're bullies. .. To be continued

What happens if they decide to go on a witch hunt and murder all of the country's leaders, along with innocent people? I mean, that's what we've basically done for hundreds of years. Does the government not realize that, if they continue intruding on other people's land, this is inevitable?

Technically... we've only been doing it for about seventy years, since the start of the Cold War/end of WWII, when the USA emerged as a global superpower.
We're in no danger of that for the foreseeable future, because the United States is the still world's unipolar hegmon, and no lesser state would be stupid enough to challenge all of Western culture like that (don't forget that we have the EU and the UN Security Council working with us too). Plus our country is such a huge consumer of everything that we are necessary for keeping the world's economy healthy.
With China on the rise, that threat is growing, but China becomes more capitalist and more integrated with Western culture as it develops. Recent global trends have promoted cooperation and trade, not imperialism and conflict, and you'll note that the 20th/21st century has seen the longest stretch of time without a major international war since, um, national civilization began I think.

Sometimes I'm ashamed of this country and what it has turned into. They need to sit the **** down and mind their own business. Enough is enough. It's like they want to get attacked.
All these depressing wars started since 9/11. Before that, you didn't hear anything about countries fighting or bombing eachother. You were not aware of it. I'm just sick of it.

Are you serious??
**** started to pop off way before the 9/11 attacks.

I don't know how people sit and watch a country that got a presidant who express how he would like to wipe out a whole country and been threatening the whole world for a long time building herself a nuclear weapon without really doing something.
If a war will come, it will be dead ugly but my thoughts are that this should have happened earlier, I think Iran is in a unknown stage with this nuclear weapon and it's a ticking bomb, if the world will wait any longer and they'll have one, than I think it will be worse than attacking them now.
And before anything, try to be me for a second.
I was born into this country (Israel) without choosing it, I'm jewish even though I consider myself an atheist and that's another thing I didn't choose and those people at Iran government would like the see me and this country wipe out for good..So try put yourself in my place and think how much a country with that kind of agenda should have a nuclear weapon, cuz' now they want to wipe out Israel, tomorrow it's you.

This. And when ever the Iranian President decides to bomb the **** out of Israel, ppl are going to say why didn't the US step in??

Right. Our hegemonic power is too much for a country to think they can just come in and attack. Countries may not like us, but they won't do much because we could just go and **** them up.

I didn't ask for your life story. I'm just saying, the whole "It's not harming me, why should I care?" attitude is extremely unhealthy.

I deleted that post because I realized I wasn't clear enough and people would misunderstand me I'm not trying to imply America will go down in flames, I'm just saying american dominance won't last forever.

Did I give you my whole life story or did I give you a recount on a historic event that the US government was behind that was an act of genocide. My thing about the US how they act as if they're better or more peaceful that other countries when they are just as corrupt and destructive as them. I don't give a **** if Iran is more likely to use nuclear weapons. Who is the US to say anything when they are the only country to use weapons of mass destruction which resulted in the death of 120,000+ people? We can't say **** when we're the only country that has actually ACTED with these nuclear weapons that we always call other people out for having. Americans have killed THOUSANDS of innocent people over the years, some who actually want justice, democracy, and change in their countries them damn selves. It doesn't always have to be invading lands and wiping out entire populations. So yes, I may be self absorbed, but I don't give a ****. I say leave them alone and butt out because it's not worth us going in and killing their asses. We're terrorists. If we can't do **** in a more peaceful manner than I say leave the people alone.

Let's not try and turn Hiroshima and Nagasaki into a black and white issue. It was one of the biggest tragedies of all time, but it put and end to a war that wiped out 2.5% of the earths population. Trying to take it out of context and simplify it will only make you look like a moron.

I'm not denying or disagreeing with any of this. But why do you care, if it doesn't affect you? Isn't that your line of thought?

Well, that's not entirely true. You know how much the US must regret placing the Soviet Union and China on the Security Council now - it's hard to believe that they didn't see it waiting for them around the corner back in 1945...

A common misconception. They used to possess very friendly relations until North Korea started its infamous nuclear weapons program. China is now strongly opposed to North Korean nuclear power and has voted to impose sanctions on North Korea in the United Nations.
