I don't think so, I know that a lot my friends just think see her as a popstar and nothing more. She sells a lot on sex too, I don't think that her attitude is well publicised to people.
I knew nothing of her attitude until I visited this site, whilst I knew about Beyonce's humbleness and sweetness.

You have to take the case of Rihanna on its own, to try to figure out why she doesn't have a $100m+ grossing tour yet.
First, all of her tours are too short, they end after half-to-one-year. While Lady GaGa had 200+ shows on the span of two years.

'Loud' could have been her first $100m tour if they didn't release TTT that early.
She doesn't have a #1 album in the United States. So? She still has plenty of time to get one.

Basically, I don't know what the hell that member was talking about. Almost as if he or she is saying that Rihanna & Britney are one in the same, they're not and Rihanna will never accomplish half of what Britney has nor will she ever be a pop culture figure like Britney is. Britney has had her time and has proven herself and the same applies for Madonna.

Well it was Britney's huge comeback tour. She hasn't been touring for years, people missed her. It had huge hype.
Rihanna, as much as her albums, have a new tour every couple of month. People don't have that much of money to keep going to Rihanna's tours annually.
I'm sure if she'll extend Loud tour (she can call it Talk that Loud Talk tour  ), it'll cross the $100m mark. Mark my words.

She's not, they all are equally hated in their own respects. However Gaga found the gay community and she is far more popular among critics.

My own definition?
Cher, Madonna, Britney, GaGa, Cyndi... to name a few are defintions of pop ICONS.
You go to their shows and people are dressed up like them from videos and eras. I dont see that from Rihanna.
I dont see people have meltdowns for her like the aforementioned.
I'm not trying to take away from her BUT she's not an ICON.
As of November 9, 2011 the only things ICONIC about her career is she performed/has a remix to a song with Britney Spears and Umbrella. PERIOD.

One big element in Rihanna's rise to relevancy was the fact that she was a "fun, energetic Island girl".

While GaGa is largely known by her outrageous fashion, Rihanna is known by her normal daily fashion as it keep inspiring teens around the world.
I mean, sometimes I just don't understand ATRL. They praise Adele's success for being solely based on her music and talent, and soon enough add her to their "trinity". But then again, I thought Rihanna is only popular because of her hits, and got nothing to offer outside of her hits. What Adele has to offer but her excellent music and talent? All true points. Just noting that she didn't tour longer than her to pass the mark.  I don't think The Loud Tour would pass $100m though. Her tickets are really cheap and based on the reported grosses, don't sell out often. And when they do, due to the small prices, the outcome isn't enough to generate big totals. She'd have to extend it a lot, but it already has 98 dates.
