I was just thinking about Marry The Night, and I think it was tactically chosen to be the Winter single. It lends itself to brilliant vocals from Gaga, so it is a great song to use for the major performances over the Christmas period. It goes great with Winter rather than with summer, for reasons I can't explain. It has the potential to save the album, which is important for an album like Born This Way, in which the artist has experimented and not necessarily catered the needs of the mass-commercial market, so if the album looked like it was starting to lose momentum, a classic-Gaga track could pull it back into the charts. It all makes sense.
I'm glad it's doing decently on radio so far. It needs to go up just a little bit at a time (no explosion like BTW) and I'll be happy. This needs to go at least top 5 though.
