Actually, I am convinced the AMA's are what pushed the album past 200k. I remember before the performance Glee was the #1 album, and after Rih was #1 again.
I think with the right performances, they really help Rihanna. Just like WFL and its video.
She could actually get a #1 album this time. Her only main competition is Nickelback.
Well she still has holiday & black Friday sales to boost her first week sales. So she'll do at least 180k. I could careless about debuting #1 in the US anymore. That title means nothing seeing how some albums could sell 250- 400k first week and still struggle to reach platinum. WW #1 is what i'm here for and i don't think any of her competition has that type of international power. Plus the UK xfactor made her sell 306k there with one performance which is more than the AMA's 200k like you said. She'll do fine.

I'm remaining pretty optimistic about first week sales, but I don't feel comfortable throwing any concrete numbers out.. I remember before Teenage Dream came out and people were estimating like...500K opening...and look how well that turned out. I'm sure it will all be fine though...
