Also, I'm done with the chart updates. I have updated the chart runs for every major, trackable chart worldwide, apart from the US. I'm done for the night

Marry The Night will be Gaga's first single this era that wasn't affected by a pre-album release or hype.
BTW was the debut single. Judas was 2nd single before album. TEOG was a promo single. You and I has had tons of promo before the album name was even announced.
MTN is basically starting off fresh. I think it's starting off slow because a lot of people still don't know about it. Radio is clearly loving it, and the sales will surely follow after she performs it. The video looks really promising from the video stills. Just wait.

Yes, I miss it too. I guess many of us do miss it.
But I'm OK with this era. I don't think it's as good as the other two but, hey, I'm not complaining.

These new born bitches who started to stan for GaGa in the born this way era think they have the right to shade us, just because born this way is not that commercial they thing GaGa is some kind of alternative musician who has the privilege to flop, she is a pop star she needs to SUCCEED in all aspects and contexts, i mean i'm a stan since 2008 and i have seen all GaGa's sides, this era is not exciting that's why people don't give a **** about the singles, videos, and etc, and her image looked so boring at the beginning and Mugler.....!

So sick of this hyperbolic and false statement.
The Japanese people are here for Gaga.
The Taiwanese people are here for Gaga.
The Indian people are here for Gaga.
The Canadian people are here for Gaga.
The 6,000,000+ people that bought BTW are here for Gaga.
She's bigger than she's ever been and the only thing wrong with this era is how they've been handling the singles. Wrong choices and moving too fast.

No-one is saying she is 'allowed' to flop, but she hasn't flopped. Her era has still been more successful than everyone else's, apart from Adele's. She is doing just fine.

I left this board for about 4 months and nothing changed. This thread is still a mess...only a handful of you make acceptable statements...the rest is the old "I have a bad feeling about (insert any Video/Single)"-****.
Can't wait for the MTN-vid. It's gonna be amazing!
I'm definitely gonna buy the Collection, the Remix-LP and of course the GaGa X Richardson-book

What I find the funniest is that if Adele wasn't around, Gaga would be the highest-selling artist of the year and no one would be able to complain about her current success. However, since Adele is outselling everyone, Gaga's flopping and doing horribly. There's no logic behind this "she's not doing as well," "she's losing popularity," etc.
Yes, she's not as popular in the US as she was last era, and you can contribute that to the likes of Katy and Rihanna catering and giving everyone what they want while Gaga distances herself from the commercial sound. WW, Gaga is still the biggest, most popular, and most successful current pop artist. I mean, you have every major outlet and event wanting Gaga. MTV, ABC, the Tawainese gov't, Sydney Town Hall, One of India's biggest events, Japan, MTV EMAs, and The Grammys all want Gaga.
Only, and I mean ONLY, Gaga fans would complain about an artist's current success after they've sold a year's worth of albums in five months.

I didn't use flop in that context.....
I know she isn't flopping, the album is selling well, i'm criticizing another aspects of the era!

Well, I'm going to say this out of honesty and in the safety of this thread:
Britney and Beyonce are completely irrelevant in the type of battle that Gaga is fighting now. They are older and have their discography and everyone knows them and no one cares about them musically anymore. Their albums are colossal flops in the world that Gaga is fighting to control. Adele is also irrelevant. She's the big thing right now, and she'll pass quickly enough (though I'm sure she'll still have success), but she won't be relevant in pop for long.
BUT, there is something alarming about the fact that Katy Perry and Rihanna are reaching the point where they're able to take the spotlight when it comes to music video and single releases. Sure, Rihanna can't do what Gaga does. But, she can release an album every year that sells and has hit singles. It doesn't matter if people like Gaga or not. It never has. What always mattered is that people felt SOMETHING about what she was releasing. The scary thing is that people are starting to not care. There is just no response, and if it is, it's along the lines of "oh" instead of "OMGOMG I HATE THIS BITCH SO MUCH."
How is she supposed to tackle that problem? I don't know the answer.
